Overview
The students of GSCC mathematics faculty have shown increasing levels of mastery in each of the two semesters of the project on the three outcome measures of Completion Rates, Pass Rates and Success of Completers. It is notable that both completion rates and pass rates improved – meaning that a higher percentage of students completed the class and were successful. GSCC faculty were selected because they were in the top 10% of developmental faculty on their campus in pass rates. It is also notable, therefore, that the mathematics faculty in semester two (Fall, 2010) have increased the difference in all three student outcomes measures between non-GSCC faculty at their own institutions teaching developmental mathematics at their own institutions.
