Grant Details
GSCC, a project designed to engage faculty as research-practitioners in a structured online community, is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The grant was awarded in late 2009 and will conclude at the end of 2011.
The 25 faculty participating in GSCC were selected based on a competitive application process. Among the criteria for selection was each faculty members record of student performance and the demonstrated capacity of each college’s IR department to contribute meaningful data on student performance throughout the grant period. The first semester of work for GSCC began in January 2010. The faculty will be working together over a total of 4 teaching periods.
